About Us

Shaping Stone, Crafting Heritage

Our journey began in 1940 when our great-grandfather, Late Shriman Sukhlal L. Sompura, meticulously restored the Shri Ajitnath Maha Prasad Mandir in Taranga Hills, Gujarat. This monumental project, spanning 10 years, became a historical marvel, laying the foundation for a legacy deeply rooted in preserving India’s cultural and architectural heritage.

The baton was then carried forward by Shri Buddhidhan M. Sompura, who infused innovation into tradition, and later by Mr. Vikram B. Sompura, whose visionary approach brought a modern touch to our timeless art. Today, the fourth generation, Mr. Dev Sompura, is steering this legacy into the future, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary artistry.

From the majestic grandeur of the Goa Birla Mandir to the iconic Adani Shantigram, and the ongoing construction of the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, soon to be the world’s tallest temple, our work stands as a beacon of devotion and craftsmanship. Beyond temples, our artisans excel in Thikri work, inlay work, and marble mosaic, lending heritage aesthetics to luxury properties that narrate their own unique stories.

For us, it’s more than architecture—it’s a responsibility. A responsibility to preserve the soul of our heritage while making it resonate with the generations to come.

Exceptional Craftsmanship

Our artistry is defined by meticulous detail and unmatched craftsmanship, bringing life to each piece with precision and passion.

Preserving an Ancient Art Form

Committed to preserving the legacy of stone artistry, we honor the age-old techniques that have been passed down through generations.

At Dev Stone Art, we don’t just build temples and bespoke ghar mandirs—we sculpt timeless legacies. Our journey began in 1940, when Late Shri Mansukhlal L. Sompura, our great-grandfather and visionary founder, embarked on the monumental restoration of the Shri Ajitnath Maha Prasad Mandir in Taranga Hills, Gujarat. This decade-long endeavor marked the beginning of a tradition steeped in craftsmanship, devotion, and cultural preservation.

This legacy was carried forward by our grandfather, Shri Buddhidhan M. Sompura, whose passion for temple architecture elevated our artistry to new heights. Following in his footsteps, our father, Mr. Vikram B. Sompura, expanded our horizons, seamlessly blending ancient craftsmanship with contemporary techniques. Today, under the stewardship of Dev Sompura, we continue this family tradition, innovating while remaining deeply connected to our roots.

Crafting Eternal Structures

We take immense pride in working with Makrana white marble, renowned for its elegance and durability. Recently, Makrana White Marble received the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag, further validating its legacy and significance. Sourced from our own quarries in Jaisalmer and Mount Abu, this marble is at the heart of our creations. What sets us apart is our dedication to traditional construction methods. Our temples are built without steel, ensuring that they stand strong for centuries, becoming structures designed not just for today but for millennia to come.

Each project we undertake showcases the brilliance of inlay work, the timeless beauty of thikri designs, and the grandeur of marble mosaics. Beyond temples, we also craft luxury spaces that resonate with India’s cultural heritage, bringing a touch of timeless elegance to modern architecture.

A Responsibility Beyond Business

For us, this is not just a business—it’s a responsibility. Every stone we carve is a tribute to India’s rich cultural legacy, and every design is a commitment to future generations. We see ourselves as guardians of a heritage that must be preserved. Every detail in our work reflects the soul of our history and traditions.

A Legacy of Excellence

Over the years, we have successfully completed more than 300 projects across India and abroad. We are honored to have collaborated with marquee clients such as Adani, Amneal Pharma, Patel Infra, Omega Elevators, and Jade Blue. From iconic temple restorations to bespoke ghar mandirs, each project reflects our commitment to unparalleled craftsmanship and spiritual artistry.

Join us as we continue to celebrate, preserve, and create architectural masterpieces that inspire awe and stand as eternal symbols of faith and beauty. At Dev Stone Art, we don’t just create structures—we carve the soul of India into every masterpiece.
